Everyone will face loss in their life with major losses being a loved one, job, friend or pet. Sometimes we have time to prepare. Other times it happens suddenly without any warning. While grief and loss is a normal aspect of life it can be a difficult experience to move through.
Grief is the emotion that is associated with loss. Grief counseling is a helpful part of processing the loss and moving on with life. Some so- called authorities report that between two and five years is common to experience loss and grief. While many may suffer unnecessary for this amount of time, the burden of grief was never meant to linger for that long. Effective grief support counseling can assist the individual in moving through and past the devastating effects of the loss within a much shorter period.
